CIRCUIT LAUNCHES

Saturday 25 April, 10am Meeting point: Fashion Square, 130 Pritchard Street, CBD

This isn't about fashion. It's about understanding how fabric tells Johannesburg's story - who we were, who we're becoming, what we're carrying with us.

Ishvara guides you through the Fashion District's transformation from textile industry heart to today's vibrant African cloth hub. Nigerian Ankaras. Congolese wax prints. Traditional Shweshwe. Maasai Shukas. Ethiopian cottons. The patterns, the trade routes, the histories woven into what people wear.

We'll explore shops contributing to the African Renaissance, visit the Fashion School where young designers begin, and finish in Little Ethiopia with traditional coffee and vegetarian buffet.

Small group. Expert guidance. Real discovery about how this city works, what it values, who it's connected to - all visible in fabric.

R350 per person (optional traditional vegetarian lunch R100, paid directly to the owner)
